DATA and STORIES

THE ILLUMINATE PARTNERS

The project integrated a state-of-the-art evaluation tool, meticulously designed by The Illuminate
Partners to capture qualitative data through micro-narratives and subsequently convert it into
quantitative data. This innovative methodology not only ensures a nuanced understanding of the
project’s impact but also facilitates the seamless sharing of critical insights.

“My worst day in Canada has been better than my best day in Brazil. With all the possibilities and all the kind people who have been trying to help me since I arrived a few months ago…”

program PARTICIPANT

The compiled takeaways from this evaluative process are strategically poised to play a pivotal
role in shaping future initiatives within both the immigrant-serving and disability sectors. This
forward-looking strategy aims to leverage the project’s outcomes as a comprehensive blueprint,
guiding the development of more efficacious and precisely targeted interventions in the future.

By adopting this state-of-the-art evaluation approach, the project not only enhances its ability to
comprehend the intricacies of its impact but also sets a precedent for advanced methodologies
in the broader field. The integration of micro-narratives into the evaluative framework not only
enriches the depth of data but also enhances the project’s potential for influencing best
practices in related sectors.
As these insights are shared and disseminated, they contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture,
fostering a collaborative environment for improved outcomes in immigrant-serving and disability
initiatives.
